Little Rock Family Weekend Wrap-Up
Local Brethren,
Wow! What a fantastic weekend! Thank you all for all of your contributions and your incredibly positive and joyful attitudes. Total count was 161 brethren who attended our “Go West” family weekend. Guests came from Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, Louisiana, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Illinois!
I received MANY compliments on our decorations and on the BBQ Brisket dinner and also on our pancake breakfast. We fed everyone VERY well! And, a number of people said they were blown away by the dessert/snack-table! Plus, a number of visitors said that the dance portion was one of the best church dances they had ever attended as far as it being a really good mix of music, well organized, fun, etc.
So, again, thank you all for all of the hard work because it really was a fun and inspiring opportunity to fellowship and to share our blessings with others. Now…it is time for all of us to try to get a decent night’s sleep and rest up!
I will send a brief note to HQ so they can run a follow-up in next week’s Weekly Update.
Also…I wanted to let everyone know something very, very wonderful. We heard from Miss. Deborah Lincoln-Strange (via Mr. Apartian) that all of the brethren in Haiti were not only physically protected during this devastating earthquake…BUT THAT THEY ALL HAD SABBATH SERVICES THIS LAST SABBATH AT THEIR NORMAL LOCATION. What a tremendous blessing from God!
Now, information is still very sketchy, so there may be other details to come, and I don’t know what the status of our brethren’s homes or business may be. Plus, we all know that the capital and surrounding towns are nearly apocalyptic right now…but from what we have heard so far, God MIRACULOUSLY protected our brethren and not one of them was killed or harmed!
Let’s all please keep praying very hard for the brethren in Haiti and also for all of our fellow human beings who are suffering so much there. What happened in Haiti is just a tiny precursor to what is prophesized to happen all around the world, and especially upon “modern Jacob” if modern Jacob does not wholeheartedly repent. So, let us thank God very sincerely for His protection on our brethren there, and take courage in seeing how He has intervened for our brethren there because as sad as it is, we know that what is happening there may one day not too long from now happen in our nation.
Best Regards,
